Title Searches for Investment Properties
Those of you who shop foreclosures and auction homes…. What is the best way to check for a clear title on prospective properties?
Do you just pay $500 for the title company insurance each time? (I’m in NC and that is the going rate during the real estate transaction).
I feel like that is excessive for prospective homes I am considering but do not know of a better/ more cost effective way.
Thanks!
