Do I really have to pay my own child support?
my dad sold me my grandpa's house. The plan was always that he wanted me to have it. How it worked out is ugly. In selling the house, my dad either was hoping the lien would go away, or he just didn't care if it became my problem. He is very selfish that way. Hence my mother needing the lien. But, she also knows it's not his n it's mine and that i will have to pay the lien. Also she does not care. She hates me, her daughter, would love to see me suffer like that, has no desire to let it go. I told her I could fix it up, rent it out, and she would never see the money unless I sold it or she went after dad. I really don't think she knows this. But, am I right in the fixing n renting part? Or could she pursue payment from ME the one the child support should be going to at this point really. It's an ugly story my upbringing. But I don't think any child, cuz I'm a grown child, should have to pay their own child support. This forum is the first place I've read helpful info for my state. N I've been looking for years.
