New & Hungry for Commercial REI

Hi BP,

First of all, thank you for all the great info and resources. I'm very new to REI. In fact, new is almost an understatement. I've yet to do any deals. However, it's something I've wanted to learn for quite some time. I'm sure y'all get these posts quite often but here's my situation and if you have any advice/recommendations, it would mean a lot. I currently have a small solar sales company in Southern CA and make decent income. I'm 29 years old and beyond hungry (basically famished) to learn COMMERCIAL REI. I have massive goals that are very specific but I also have never had an end goal in mind because I believe our potential is unlimited. I know how to sell in general and am a decent communicator, but I know almost zero about where to begin in commercial real estate. I have so many questions and can't seem to stop looking for answers, but what I'd really like is to do is connect with people that have similar vision. If there's anyone here that can point me in any direction or recommend a place to find those people, I'd love some feedback. Thanks so much in advance!

First step is to educate yourself on the business and the markets you're interested in. Commercial covers a lot of different types and classes of property each with their own language and metrics. Start studying properties for sale and rent and take note of what type of property interests you most then drill down deeper on those. Theres lots of great info on YouTube as well as courses you can take on CRE
