Commercial Building Roof - I could use your help
Hi Folks! I am mostly versed in the residential / SFH side of the Real Estate universe. I have a couple of SFH in New England and actively working to grow that. I say that mostly so you don't think I'm a rando when asking my question and asking you to take your time to respond.
Commercial Building Owners - Can you give me some insight into the things you think about or care about when it comes to the roof on your building and / or the Energy Efficiency of your building?
I know, super random.
I am working on new Marketing material for a product line for my company and I want to make sure that I’m addressing the things Commercial Building Owners care about. I have a lot of ideas but I’m trying to get some validation with your experience.
So, here goes...
Do you invest in the Energy Efficiency of your building? What are your decision criteria when you are deciding if you will make the investment? Can you walk me through the things you think about? What frustrates you about energy costs? Or, do you pay those bills?
When it comes to a flat or low slope roof on your building what do you think about? Do you tend to defer maintenance? Do you have a maintenance contract? How would you pay for a roofing project? Do you look for tax breaks / incentives? What would the decision criteria be for investing in a roofing project? What frustrates you about the roof? What would make you happy?
There are a ton more questions but here are a few to prime the pump. There are also a ton of different building types, uses, lease types etc... I’m hoping I can pull from your different experiences and situations to aggregate the things you would care about.
