Hi,

My fiancé paid >$150k in taxes from her W2 job. Would buying passive income (multi fam) offset her taxes? Getting a lot of mixed messages from CPAs! 😫

@Danny Milea

You will likely get mixed messages from CPA's if they don't know the whole situation...and the won't know the whole situation unless they see your prior year return or have a good sit-down discussing all finances in detail.
Most accountant's won't go into great detail on suggestions/strategies without a paid consultation.

Regarding the "buddy" of yours who suggested getting 3MM of real estate for deductions. Is he a tax professional/CPA? If not - I wouldn't take his tax advice.
Getting 3MM of real estate will not immediately help her with her taxes.
