Bargains with contractors
What tactics do you have to understand contractors prices better and understand if you are paying fairly or over paying.

In additional to what Ronald said, get multiple bids. At the end of the day, it comes down to supply and demand and how high of a demand contractors are in your region. By looking at multiple bids, you'll see what everyone is charging and get a better gauge of what is a fair price.
