Appraising "Retail/Residential" Properties

Matt Jurcak
Posted

Hey everyone,

I'm fairly new to real estate investing and am looking into a range of awesome opportunities. Does anyone have experience appraising & dealing with "retail/residential" properties?

My business partner and I found a small retail (1st floor) and 3br apartment (2nd floor) building we'd like to renovate and use. We're actually interested in launching a donut shop (she LOVES donuts).

  • -Where can we find comps?
  • -Where can we find quality/inexpensive bakery-type equipment?
  • -Are there other things we should know about doing a deal like this?

Thank you!!

Matt
