Multi family just found off market
I just found a 6 unit multi family all are 1 bedroom 1 bath off market. It was built in 1920’s it’s considered historical. The laundry room is extremely large and ceiling drywall fell down it’s a mess I don’t even think they use it. Could I convert it. To a 2 bedroom 1 bath and charge rent to make an extra 1200 a month. I’m an advocate it’s better to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission with the city. If i did that what do I tell post office for mail unit 7 ? I would keep the electrical in my name and water. All units have separate electrical but not water, water only has one meter on the property. Any thoughts. They have another storage place where I might be able to squeeze in a washer and dryer.

Historical properties have a lot of red tape. This may not be the deal you think it is.
