Splitting a commercial property
We own a commercial strip mall with 5 tenants in it. The building was further extended out and built as another space with its own entrance and utilities. We are contemplating selling the old building (with the 5 tenants) and just keeping the new extension. Can I legally sell it without a survey or platting? How would the property taxes and such be split in such cases? Are there any cons to this kind of an arrangement?
