Hello Bigger Pockets Community,

I currently am looking at some properties in bend oregon that are in a designated opportunity zone area. The properties are a blank slate as there isnt much to them, but im looking for information on benefits for opportunity zone purchases. Anyone have property or recently bought property that is in one of these zones?

@Jeremiah Ramp opportunity zones were created for capital gains to be invested. Do you have a gain you need to invest?

Existing properties need to meet the substantial improvement test so it sounds like the ones you are looking at would potentially qualify if they need significant improvement.
