How to get a job in commercial real estate?

Mark Bult
Posted

I'm currently working in banking (not in credit/lending) and have wanted to make the change to commercial real estate for some time. Specifically, I'd love to do financial anaylsis and work on acquisitions, dispositions, and asset management. I'd like to invest in properties on my own too, however I have no money to do so. Any advice for someone like myself? Where is a good place to start working that can provide a great base of knowledge and decent pay? I'm willing to take a small pay cut to change jobs, but I'm hoping to do something that I can at least pull in $45k gross to cover my bills.

Thanks!
