Worst Lending experience.

I broker loans for commercial deals throughout the nation and recently came across a horrible experience with a lender. I would put the name of the lender out there but figure it wouldn't be the most professional decision i've made in my career so for that reason I will refrain.

As all brokers and lenders know, church deals can be the hardest to get a loan closed on due to multiple reasons.  Well I was in search for a loan for a well known preacher to purchase a new building for his ministry. He was putting up 50% of the purchase price cash and was looking to borrow the remaining 50%.

The Private lender that I selected for this deal claimed that he is always willing to close church deals as long as the income was strong and the borrower had reserves and if need be they would look at additional guarantors .

Well I figured this was an easy match until the lender began to speak on the conference call and made a ton of insensitive remarks, a few religious jokes gone wrong and even an ill timed reference to pornography. My client hung up mid conference call and I was beyond embarrassed.

I have several pending deals with this lender and at this point I question should I still even do business with the guy?
