My property might be on fire. What should I do?

My property manager told me they are being evacuated by fire department earlier tonight.  Forest fire is catching downtown Gatlinburg.  It was the first time in a decade...and I only closed the motel two weeks ago.  What the chance!  Luckily, no one was hurt.  My manager acted heroically and took most guest with her and making sure they have a place to stay tonight.  The city is being surrounded by fire now so they have no way to make it to the shelter.  I told them to go nearby hotels and stay warm and stay safe.  I offer to cover all costs.  They are still stuck in traffic now on the truck but should be safe.

However, my manager told me that she just heard on the radio that area where my motel is located is getting damage.  I see a sleepless night ahead for me not knowing what is going to happen to my motel.  Another thing is bothering me is that the insurance is effective two weeks ago but my check for the payment is still on its way to the insurer due to bank process (it takes two weeks for bank to issue check and deliver as it uses a 3rd-party provider).  I am certain the coverage is effective but am concerned if the motel gets burns down, the insurer might play games due to the timing of the payment.  Anybody has any experience on such situation?  I'd appreciate any advice.
