Coop to condo conversion

I'm in the very early stages of gathering information related to doing a coop to condo conversion. If anyone is familiar with this topic, I would love to chat. I understand at a high level that you need to understand the by-laws of the specific coop to know how many votes are needed to amend the by-laws, but I'm just wondering what other things there are to consider.

The greater Detroit area is where I'd be looking to do this as I have a boots-on-the-ground partner there, but we are both unsure of the potential pitfalls and unseen things we might run into. So anyone with experience doing this would be very helpful, and I'm happy to pay for your time if it appears I will get value from the conversation. Feel free to reach out to me. Thanks!
