Thoughts on buying shares of a business including real estate

Hi Everyone!
I’m new to BiggerPockets nice to be here! This community is super informative. I was hoping to pick some brains.

I have a client who is a partner with two others in a commercial building. They’ve listed the property on the market for $2M. The building is a 3-story, old paper mill. The first floor has been completely remodeled and is currently leased to great long term tenants. The 2nd and 3rd floors still need some work but could be easily rented.

My client is now asking if he could sell his shares, and one of the other partners seems interested in the idea as well. If someone were to buy their shares, they would gain ownership of 2/3 of the business. This seems like a good deal compared to purchasing the entire property for $2M.

To get to the point what is a good network for selling business shares? Does BiggerPockets have a forum for this? Has anyone had experience with this type of transaction? Is it worth it?

Thank you for any feedback!
—Rebecca
