Will commercial retail rents fall as commercial real estate falls?

Ian S.

I keep seeing commercial real estate is going to take a nose dive.

I have been thinking of opening a retail business. I'm wondering if I should wait and see if retail rents will drop?

@Ian S.

Retail rents are not dropping. It’s office that is getting crushed right now

Retail is all about location and good locations are doing very well.

Could it drop, maybe but guessing or trying to predict will not be easy

Also retail leases are staggered typically so a center doesn’t have them all expiring at once.
