tips for getting connected!

Hayden Oppermann
Posted

Hello everyone , I just wanted to ask y’all what is the best way to meet people and get connected into commercial real estate. I’ve also seen people say go to gatherings and connect with people, where do you find those gatherings ? And will it be weird if a 16 year old goes to one ? I want to use my time as some one who is young and pursuing commercial real estate to get connections and knowledge as someone who has a lot of free time.  Anything will help thank you !!

If a 16 year old showed up to a meetup I was at, I'd be impressed as hell.  Start going to as many as you can in your area, ask questions (there are no stupid questions), and meet as many people "in the game" as you can.  Most of the people at these meetups are just as green as you are and everyone is there to give each other support, so don't be intimidated.
