How close should you live to self storage?

Posted

I'm looking to purchase my first self storage facility and I see a couple that are far away. But nothing close to me.

I'm wondering how far is to far? I would 100% be doing access codes 24/7 service and set up your rental online. To be close to as passive as possible. I always thought a person sitting at a self storage facility was not worth the cost. Would you agree?

So basically how far is to far? I'm looking for a small first facility 40-60 unit type deal to get my feet wet.
