Investing in Berkeley MO and yearly inspections

Has anyone purchased and maintained a rental property in Berkeley MO? I understand that they require yearly inspections (regardless if the tenant is there or not). How intense and tedious are these inspections? 

For reference - I have a rental property in Ferguson MO and they do not require yearly inspections, just upon change in tenants.
