Buyer Agent Commission

Hi All,

Looking for some feedback on a situation I have run into.

I have been working with my agent for a couple of years. She helped 2 years ago with the purchase of my primary (two family house hack). The last 6 months or so she has been helping (setting up showings/coming to open houses) my brother with his first purchase (two family house hack).

This past week I had walked by a FSBO, called, and next thing you know we are finalizing a deal. Seller does not want to pay any commission and increasing sale price is not an option due to financing. She has been a part of this process (seen the house, working with paperwork etc). She has been adamant that I should not worry about her commission she is glad to help out, etc (my guess is because she knows more deals are in the pipeline).

With that said, cutting her out was NOT the intention and not what I am planning to do. We will continue to work together moving forward.

Price Point: $500,000

Curious as to what other people in this situation have done.

Thanks,

Matt
