Western North Carolina

Hi! We are looking for advice regarding the western NC mountain area. We originally fell in love with a house in Burnsville, NC. My husband is hesitant because it seems like a random area. That being said, the view of the Blue Ridge mountains is stunning, and the house is stunning as well. However, we know nothing about the area and are investing from out-of-state. We also just came across a decent cabin in Mars Hill. This seems like it might be a stronger market than Burnsville, but the house needs some work. Any insight into these areas at all? Does anyone have any rentals in the near vicinity? Thank you in advance for any insight!
