neighborhood designations on realtor.com

Hi All,

I have a question regarding neighborhood designations on realtor.com. I noticed that realtor.com breaks down stats and searches by city, zip code, and neighborhood. In some case the neighborhoods are listed as “downtown”, “north river”, or the name of an elementary school. In other cases, there are random names that local people don’t identify with. I noticed one designation they gave was the “Health neighborhood” for the area surrounding a local hospital. Does anyone know where these names and district boundaries originate. Also is there a source where you can see all of them mapped out?

Thank you!

Ben
