How often should I attempt to make contact with an absentee owner

I found a house in my neighborhood that I would like to purchase for a buy and hold. It's vacant. I found another house in town that's listed as the same owner via tax records. I wrote a letter to the owner about two weeks ago, but have yet to get a response. What should be my continued course of action?

@Preston Donahue one time isn't going to do it in this market.

He's probably gotten dozens of these letters over the last few years if he owns more than one property.

Consistency is the key to standing out when contacting owners directly. 90% will send one or two letters. Be the 10% who don't give up.
