Researching Venice, Florida Market

I am getting ready to go on vacation with my family to Venice, FL and would like to research the local real estate market for potential investment opportunities- open to short term or long term, single family or multi. All of my properties are where I live in Indiana so I have not yet invested out of state. Any advice on how to get started with research? I will be there a week- 9/10 to 9/18
