Purchasing Property Owned by City
Hey Everyone, I am a day old member to the forum and what brought me to finally making an account is the question, "How do I/ Can I Purchase a property owned by the City? I am coming close to being a property manager for a year and have been involved in a few small Real Estate deals, needless to say I am a newbie when it comes to all of this, so please bear with me! Yesterday morning we had a lady walk into our office looking for a 2,000 sqft. building and she was willing to sign 10 year lease if we had anything. We didn't have any buildings that were available, but I believe I have found the perfect building for her, that I would like to purchase then lease to her. The building is just owned by the city. Is there anything I could do or chance I could get my hands on it? The building is vacant and has been owned by the city since 2018 and hasn't been occupied once. If it is worth a shot, who would I contact with the city or where should I go from here? Thanks in advance!
