Cypress,TX Ashton woods property investment

Hello, I am an IT professional and Mortgage Broker, after serving multiple successful clients who are into real estate investing and being a spouse of an avid investor, I am exploring a new area for us, to invest (kind of a homework from husband :))- Cypress, TX and planning to invest in Ashton woods - Towne lake new construction attached townhome about slightly over $300K, just want to get some feedback! (Property tax seems to be at $8k for a $300K purchase !!)

I saw that the rents are good, other than that, any concerns about the area? My husband made good investments in Dallas area and we are kind of exploring Houston now. We are from CA.
