Benefits of Staging a Home

Hi everyone! Are you interested in selling your house faster? Historical data indicates that staged homes spend 73% less time on the Market than non-staged homes. Plus, home staging can add value to your home for up to 20%. Here are a few tips you can start using to spruce up your house and make it attractable for prospective buyers.

Make sure your house is clean. Seems obvious right, but sometimes we forget the areas that we think may get missed, such as cleaning behind the toilet or tidying up the closet. Home buyers will see that you have taken good care of your property.

Clear out any personalized items. This will show a buyer a better feel of how they would envision the space if they were living there. So, remove any photos, knickknacks, toys, refrigerator art, and anything else that seems personal to you.

Declutter and make room, having less items around the house will open up a buyer’s mind into seeing the home’s features and its most optimal space available for use.

Define rooms as much as possible, having each room with a purpose. Such as a finished attic turned into an office, maybe the junk room can become a guest room or even the finished basement, if you have one, an entertainment place.

Freshen up areas with some few potted plants which can make a room feel airy and light. Adding in some candles that are non-scented can give a home some wonderful ambiance. Also, make sure all the rooms smell fresh, open up some windows before any buyers visit.

These are just a few tips you can use today to start staging your home giving it a better chance in moving quickly when on the Market. If anyone has any questions or are interested in more tips, please feel free to reach out to me.
