Advice -- starting corporation with partners for real estate inve

Michael Nandlall

Hello,

I am in the process of starting a corporation with 3 partners for the purpose of real estate investment. We currently have 1 property valued at about 900k and will be purchasing another soon valued at about 1.7M.

I'm wondering if anyone here has experience doing this type of investment with partners in a corporation. We want to make things as structured and business like as possible. Any tips on how to structure/track profits within the company if capital is not always provided equally between the partners? Any advice/thoughts are appreciated.

FYI we live in Ontario, Canada. I fully trust the partners that I'll be working with, but obviously we want things documented and structured in the best way possible.

I'm not sure if this is the best forum for this question. Looking to chat with someone who has gone through similar experiences.

Thanks!
