Recent appraisals on Over-Asking purchases

With sale prices soaring everywhere, I'm curious how the appraisal process has been reacting in other markets.  Are your appraisals matching your above-asking price purchases?  Coming in lower?  And how are Buyers/Sellers handling any differences?  Are your sellers willing to come down on sale price or are your Buyers making up the difference?
