Vacation Propert Investment

Hello everyone, I am in the Jacksonville area and have been considering to purchase a vacation home/condo on the beach. Ormond Beach and Jekyll Island are on my list at the moment. This will be my first vacation investment property and looking for help and suggestions.

1. Location - both the locations that I am looking for are about 90mins drive for me. Should I be expanding my radius? If yes what are some locations that you recommend in the NE Florida area or should I be looking for Destin, Sarasota area?

2. What are some ways we can know if we can do short term rentals on the property?

3. How do we decide if we should list the property on Airbnb or Vrbo vs going with a local management company who also manage the rentals and properties?

4. What are some key numbers ot indicators to look for to make the call?

5. Most of the units I looked are in the 1970's time frame. Should I be worried that these units are 50 year old now?

lot of random questions pop-in so looking for any help or guidance I can get from this group.

Thanks

Naveen
