How did last weeks winter blast affect your closings?

How did last week’s winter blast affect your closings?

So last week we had two scheduled closings. We had a closing to sell a property which the closing office could not close due to blackouts and such. We also had a closing to purchase a property and we did not close for the same reason.

Closing number one where we were  going to sell a property we moved it to this week and they closed Without any issue.
Closing number two where we were supposed to buy a property the seller look for a reason to get out of the contract and said that I did not close on my agreed-upon date and  demanded a higher price +$5000 earnest money additional. It appears that I was going to lose the property that I was going to purchase, but I hired and attorney and they looked over the contract and found a way to  Legally extend the contract in a manner that I somehow overlooked. We ended up closing deal number two this week as well.
Curious how many people actually lost a closing or a deal due to last week’s  winter wonder weather.
