@Lawrence Paul, Yep.  Commonly called a consolidation exchange.   Can be a great way to move into a bigger asset like from SF to MF.  There's two real keys:

1. The property you purchase has to absorb the reinvestment requirements of all of your sales in total.

2. The property you purchase has be timed so it can fit into the 1031 timelines for all of the properties you are selling.
