Ideal starting position in investment real estate

Hi Guys,

I am completely new to investment real estate. My self taught research and analysis started about 2 months ago. The more I learn the more eager I become and I'm dying to take the next steps (the action part). My only concern is should I start my journey on my own or should I try to find someone like myself with similar goals and asperations to start with?
