Austin, TX hot real estate market

At this point it is obvious that the Austin, TX real estate market is white hot. Investors are buying properties with numbers that don't make sense because they are certain about appreciation rates and liquidation. With, supply at an all time low and demand at an all time high, Austin, TX is experiencing nothing less than the equivalency of a modern day gold rush.

This doesn't seem to be slowing anytime soon. With half of silicon valley moving down to Austin this will only accelerate the growth of the population and the value of your RE investments. When The Austin Business Journal interviewed Matt Holm, a Realtor with Compass Real Estate, he stated, “I think we’re looking at roughly 55,000 to 60,000 white-collar jobs coming in the next 48 to 60 months, based on the millions of square feet being built,"

And although the biggest risk associated with real estate is the difficulty of liquidation, this risk is eliminated in the Austin market. This is truly the time to be bullish and aggressive when entering into a bid war to acquire an investment. The strategy should change from buying low to selling high, to buying high and selling higher.
