Driving for Dollars - Best Way to Contact Owners?

For the first time this weekend, I took a couple hours and drove a couple neighborhoods and came up with a list of homes that I want to target for off-market lead generating.

My ultimate goal is to buy these homes from the sellers, but I would be happy to either List the property or wholesale the property if the numbers don't work for me.

What methods have people found most effective when targeting your Driving for Dollars list? Letter in the mail? Post card? Skip Trace to phone call?

I was thinking I would send some letters hand addressed to the owners, but wanted to gather some input before doing so.

Thanks in advance!
