How much to pay for leads?

I am wanting to start having my friends and family start to help me a bit more actively with finding deals, so I want to offer them something if I end up closing on a deal they bring me.

I am going back and forth between just giving them a lump sum of cash for deals I close on, or even giving up some equity on the deals to cut them in and not have to front extra money up front. If anyone has done anything like this, please let me know and list amounts of equity and so forth at points that have made sense to you. Thank you!
