Our First House/Rental Property

Arjun Patel
Posted

Me and my fiancé are looking to buy a condo in the Alexandria, VA. Our plan is to live there for 1-2 years, put the condo up for rent, and go onto purchasing our single family home. We have saved up 20% for our down payment and this will be our first real estate purchase. I am seeking advise on how to analysis this property for a better understanding if it will be rentable in a year or 2.

Which property specifically? Do you have an address?

If it is your first house you could buy with a low downpayment and in the future you could use another low downpayment to buy the second one. This is great way to scale up faster.

However, every investor have different strategies, I personally prefer to put as less money down as I can.
