In the divorce proceedings

So I'm in the middle of a divorce with a difficult ex. He will not agree to the terms but we have been separated since 2017, I'm about to purchase my 1st home in Missouri (he is in California) in order for me to get the loan I would need him to sign the marital waiver of right to the property anyone have experience with this?
