Property tax valuation

I just purchased my first rental property in February at auction for less than half of full market value and i am looking to get my property tax reevaluated to reflect my purchase price plus minimal rehab cost. I know that there is a wealth of knowledge on this site, so i am hoping someone can help me out with any pointers on this subject.
