Land Quit Claim Transfer

Hi!

I bought a piece of land from my friend who was married. The land is in TN, my friend lives in FL, and her ex is in CO. How would we go about getting the land quit claimed over to me if it's in both of their names? Do we use a quit claim deed from TN? The one she had says it needs a notary from TN, but I wouldn't imagine we would need to travel there just to get it transferred over.

Let me know if you have any good insight, direction, or resources to point me to :)

Thanks!
