What’s your biggest save from an inspector?

What’s your biggest save by an inspector?

I am a fairly handy guy and a good majority of the items the inspector finds I already noticed during my walk through before offering on the house. I know as I grow my portfolio, the inspector will become more and more valuable as it won’t be feasible to go see proprieties anymore before offering but in the meantime I sometimes wonder if using one is worth the money.

Has anyone had a big save attributed to their inspector and if so, what was it?

I have had our sewer line inspector save us thousands upon thousands of dollars for multiple issues with sewer lines. Cracks, roots, crushed line, missing lines all together! If you live in an older area of the country with public sewer, ALWAYS get that line inspected! The best $250 you'll spend!
