Duplex On 7670sqft Lot - Subdivide And Sell
There is a duplex on a large lot that I am looking at for around 600k. It has been on the market for 800 days. I am wondering if anyone knows about subdividing lots in metropolitan areas? This are has no HOA and there are other lots in the area for sale.
I'm sure I am missing something as I am a newbie here but my initial thought would be to co-borrow on the deal and move in to the duplex and rent the other side. Then submit a subdivide to the county and sell the lot.
Does anyone have any experience with this type of deal?
