Buy back a home from the Retirement Community

Hello all,

First post here, so big thanks for reading and offering some mind.

The story goes: older family member lives in a retirement community. As payment for services, a house was signed over to the retirement community company. The house has sentimental value for living relatives, on top of the fact that it has great value as an investment property. So the question: is it possible to buy the note from the company that runs the retirement community? Has anyone ever done this and can offer advice for finding homes this way?

Thanks again, and good hunting!
