Newbie needs help with potential Japanese AirBNB properties

I live in Japan and after listening to the Bigger Pockets podcast, I investigated my local market and found the area with the biggest growth in Japan was the popular ski location of Niseko in the Northern Island of Hokkaido. I got on a plane and visited the neighboring town, got to know some locals and the area and found some property bargains with huge potential.

Probably like many other newbies, I feel I have little to invest on my first rental property when properly considering all the costs of repairs and renovations. I speak fluent Japanese, but as it is a flight and a drive or an 8hr bullet train ride away, it will still be a long distance investment. Does anyone have a similar experience or advice?
