Can I do 1031 exchange for STR from sale of LTR?
We're selling our small multi family (triplex) in GA and contemplating on buying an STR from out of state. Will 1031 exchange work for this deal?

@Joy James, Any type of real estate that has been held with investment intent can be sold and 1031d into any other type of real estate intended to be held for investment use. And it can be anywhere in the US (or a couple of US territories).
It's not the type but the use of the property that is key. So a move from MF to SF is fine. And a move from LTR to STR is fine. And a move from GA to ???wherever in the US is fine.
