Can I ask for my contracts back to switch title companies?

I gave my contracts to the title company and made it clear that it was a double closing and they seemed kind of confused. This is my first deal and still gave them the contracts anyways. After calling in for a couple of weeks to check in on how they are doing, they haven't even started to write up the closing and still sounded confused about the double closing. I used a different company on my second deal and it went through easy and took 2 days to close. can I ask for the contracts back and switch to the other title company since the seller gave me choice of title company.
