Is a home inspection necessary in this case?
Had a chat with seller a couple of days ago. We went around the property and he told/showed me everything he had done since he intended to stay in the house. The right side of the house has foundation repaired, from front to around the back and half-way towards the front. The remaining half ways to the front has a foundation issue needing repair, estimate 5k. Roof is 1 yr old, just painted inside, water heater & HVAC are all new within 2 years. The price is low for the area, and well within ARV.
I am going to view the inside/outside of house later today. I already know what is wrong, what is right, for the most part. I am wondering if a home inspection is really necessary here. How do you make that determination?
