Question about foundation issues in DFW area
We're looking at a property in the north DFW area. It was obvious that there have been some foundation issues- cracks in the brick mortar, etc. Sellers have proof that repairs have been made by a reputable company and there is a limited lifetime warranty in place. My question is what is the likelihood that there are issues in the future? It seems the issues were associated with only one side of the house. Is there an increased expectation that the other side of the house may also have issues? I planned to have it independently inspected by another company but still curious if this is something most investors stay away from, or are foundation repairs generally pretty dependable if done correctly?
