Can you be a REO Agent and a Mortgage Broker at the same time?

I'm a Real Estate Agent just getting into REO

Also studying for my Mortgage NMLS exam. Is it possible that I can do both at the same time? Are there any legal barriers to this?

I would like to specialize as a Listing agent, would that help because I am not representing a Buyer who might be looking for a Mortgage Loan to close on a house?
