Updated about 4 years ago,
Making an off-market deal on a SFH in Palm Beach Gardens, Fl.
So I found a single-family home down the street from my sisters family home and I’ve been eyeballing it for the past few years.
It has all the telltale signs of neglect; boarded up windows, overgrown grass, broken down cars in the driveway, etc.
My sister said that she has seen a man come and go from there so there’s definitely someone living there. I did a little digging and found that the home was purchased in the 1980s by the family that still owns it and is current on taxes. The father of the house passed about ten years ago and I’m assuming left the property to his two sons, one of which apparently lives there currently. I tried contacting the phone numbers through public records and left voicemails on the numbers that were not disconnected.
I’m going to try going down there with my brother-in-law and try to get someone at the door, otherwise leave a note. Any tips on exactly what to say in the note? Also, if I were to meet the man face to face and he says he’s interested in selling... then what??
Thanks In advance!
